Shout down HP

January 7 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

hewlett packard harms palestiniansThis coming year we are again going to have our regular boycott actions on the 1st Saturday of each month.

This Saturday, we will be meeting at 11am outside Staples which is on Eyre Street just off St Mary’s Gate near Decathlon.

We want to make sure we keep or campaign for justice in Palestine in the public eye.  Following our successful boycott Hewlett Packard action  in November which was also a national day of action, we are going to focus again on this campaign and give our eye catching banner  Hewlett Packard Harms Palestinians another outing.

We will be visiting the store which sells Hewlett Packard products with our banner to tell them our views about the company and why they should not stock their products. We will then walk up to the town hall with our banner arriving about 12 noon.

Remember that HP while claiming to uphold values of social responsibility, is notorious for involvement in oppressive practices worldwide including being responsible grave breaches of international law in Palestine.

  • Biometric permit systems for Palestinians and the technology is installed in Israeli military checkpoints.
  • Technology to the armed services that enables Israel’s deadly blockade of the Gaza Strip.
  • Services and Technologies to the Israeli Prison Services which illegally imprison Palestinians including children
  • IT developments in illegal Israeli Settlements
