Appeal for funds: Stop Arming Israel campaign – what the appeal is for

Around 30 people supported the protest from Sheffield and Chesterfield and two of our group were amongst those arrested (one lives in Sheffield, the second lives in Newcastle but was working with a Sheffield affinity group when he was arrested).

We are launching this appeal to cover costs. We need help to:

  • enable those affected to travel to court hearings, and to meetings with other defendants (those arrested come from all over the country)
  • enable meetings with a solicitor in London. (Currently, legal aid is not available and the solicitor is acting pro bono).
  •  attend a bail appointment with the police in the next week
  •  challenge the Injunction in the High court in Birmingham  (one Sheffield person has already attended a hearing at the High Court to help with the first part of our challenge.)
